Privacy Policy

How information is handled when you browse, explore services or prepare an enquiry.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. Information you provide

This policy covers the ELB Digital website and enquiries prepared through it. We aim to handle personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable South African data protection requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

The enquiry form requests your name, work email, company, service interest and a description of your needs. Phone number, role and team size are optional; you can also indicate a preferred timeframe. This information helps describe your requirements and, if you send the enquiry to ELB, enables us to respond.

Use only information needed for the enquiry. Do not include passwords, identity documents, account credentials, payment information or sensitive information about yourself or others.

2. What happens in your browser

The current enquiry tool processes entries in the open page. It does not upload them to an ELB server or save a draft in browser storage. A downloaded enquiry file remains on your device. If an ELB email address is configured, the tool opens a draft in your email application; you review and send it yourself. ELB only receives an enquiry when you send or otherwise share it with us.

The service finder uses your selections to suggest relevant service pages. Service choices may appear in a navigation link so the enquiry form can preselect them. Names, email addresses and messages are not included in those links.

The website guide uses a local knowledge base. Chat messages remain in the current page’s memory and are cleared when you clear the conversation or reload the page. They are not sent to an external AI service.

The website’s own code does not set cookies, use local or session storage, or include analytics and advertising trackers. If the website is hosted online, its hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages and browser details to deliver and protect the site. Your browser, email application and device may also retain information under their own settings.

3. How received enquiries are used and kept

If you send an enquiry to ELB, we use the information to understand your request, contact you about it, prepare proposals and manage any resulting business relationship. Preparing an enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list.

Received correspondence should be kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry, an ongoing business relationship or applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the record and its purpose. Local downloads and email copies on your own device remain under your control.

4. Security and service providers

Limit the personal information you share and use appropriate security measures for your own device and email account. No website or communication channel can guarantee complete security.

This website does not transmit form or chat information to advertising networks. Hosting and email providers may process information when providing their services. Where ELB receives personal information, access and any disclosure should be limited to what is necessary for the relevant business purpose, service provision or a lawful requirement.

Following a link to another website or using your email provider brings their own privacy practices into scope. Review those practices before sharing information through those services.

5. Your rights, questions and complaints

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information held about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion where appropriate, or object to certain processing. A proportionate identity check may be needed before acting on a request.

Use ELB’s business contact details on the Let’s talk page when they are available to submit a privacy request. Business contact details have not yet been published. The local enquiry tool can help you prepare a request, but it does not deliver one automatically.

You may also raise a personal information complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator .

We will update the date above when this policy changes. Before introducing new collection methods, analytics or online form submission, the website’s privacy information should be updated to explain them.
